Songbook Series 4
In Series 4 a new selection of acclaimed songwriters will discuss their unique musical inspiration and writing processes before giving an intimate acoustic performance of four of their seminal songs. Artists already filmed for this new series include Leiber & Stoller, Don McLean, Dave Stewart and Serge Pizzorno of Kasabian.
For Series 4 we will also be producing a number of specially shot programmes from the British Music Experience at the O2 during October and November, and a 'one off' featuring Kelly Jones of The Stereophonics from the Hay Literary Festival in May. While retaining the feel and intimacy of previous shows, these will feature a small specially-invited audience, and will be presented by legendary music broadcaster Bob Harris.
The series is recorded in Hi-Def and 5.1 surround audio. Filming is scheduled for Feb – November 2010, and the series will transmit from September 2010. Songbook is also distributed worldwide. Songbook is sponsored by PRS For Music.
